Purpose of a Cockatiel's Crest
Question: Does the cockatiel crest serve any purposes other than jus looking COOL!!?!?!?!
Answer: The cockatiel crest is a very sensitive sensory reception and broadcast organ. When fully extended, the normal cockatiel crest is capable of receiving high-frequency satellite transmissions, thus their use in the
Great Parrot Conspiracy as information conduits.
When a cockatiel extends its crest, appears alert and is otherwise calm, he/she is receiving a transmission. If they get agitated and flap their wings, they are broadcasting. If they defecate while doing this, they have eavesdropped on a *really* interesting transmission.
