  This booklet is the first of it s kind and will prove invaluable as resource. Written for the pet bird owner or breeder who may be having problems with proposed or restrictive laws or legislation that affect their birds, this thirty-two page booklet gives you step-by-step instructions on what to do.

  The author, Kelly Tucker, the AFA Western Regional VP, who has graciously donated her manuscript to the AFA believes that ""while loss of habitat may be the greatest danger to birds in the wild adverse legislation and selective enforcement present the greatest danger to birds in our homes". Many times when faced with a complaint where the law doesn t specifically apply to birds local authorities will apply regulations that make no sense when dealing with birds. Sometimes to the extreme of threatening confiscation or euthanasia.

  Kelly Tucker has put her experience of hours of research and answering many phone calls from anxious bird owners into this booklet. It is available through the AFA Business Office by phone or mail for $6.50 plus $2.50 shipping and handling.
