World Parrot Trust Parrot Portfolio
Working for Parrot Conservation and Welfare Worldwide
The World Parrot Trust was established in 1989 and is UK Registered Charity No. 800944. It is based at Paradise Park, Hayle, Cornwall, UK, which provides substantial free facilities for the Trust. In addition, the park has funded the Trust to a current total of 80 000 UK pound ($120000). Funds from all sources in the first five years total 500 000 UK pound ($800000).
These funds are used to promote the survival of the parrot species and the welfare of every individual bird. The World Parrot Trust has support groups in Australia, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, France, Holland, and the
USA. It has 2000 members in 43 countries, and its quarterly news letter "PsittaScene" has a readership of over 6000 individuals and organisations interested in parrot conservation. The trust has supported conservation, education and the welfare projects to help over twenty endangered (CITES
Appendix 1) parrot species in eighteen countries.
Substantial new funding is urgently needed to help The World Parrot Trust continue and expand its work.

It's not much to join, think what life would be like without your birds.
One last point. The World Parrot Trust won first prize for its
Conservation work in the UK , second and third place went to London Zoo.
The World Parrot Trust also works in partnership with the Jersey Wildlife Presenvation Trust to help the Echo parakeet.
Don't take my word for it contact them and find out the good work they are doing.
The World Parrot Trust promotes high standards in the keeping of parrots as pets which is what we all should be doing, as we all want the best for our pets. It also advocates the use of only captive-bred birds as pets, as they make better pets.
Best Regards
David
